Our staff members support each other in countless ways, both professionally and personally, including many CAPS teachers working with a co-teacher at least part of the day. Our leaders actively create space for collaboration and mutual support.

Students leave early every Friday afternoon so that staff can meet for PLC meetings and special on-site workshops. Also, the full network of teachers meet together at least 10 days throughout the year to reinforce the community and to explore topics of value to everyone.

With committed, caring leaders, and through ample planning periods and staff retreats, we aim to support teachers both in and out of the classroom. In addition, most teachers have access to coaching for personalized professional growth.

We are constantly expanding the resources available to our teachers and staff so that they can expand what they offer students. This includes curriculum tools, which teachers play an integral role in re-evaluating each year.

Each child has unique gifts and talents, and our approach to instruction builds on that. Our low student:teacher ratio allows us to provide individualized attention, including for scholars who are learning English (ELLs), are academically at-risk, or have disabilities. We also provide tutoring to scholars who need it.
